Through its very own charity initiative, Cast for a CureTM, solidifies its commitment to help find a cure for breast cancer. FisherGirl is proud to donate a portion of all of its Canadian sales to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. FisherGirl also contributes to breast cancer research on an international level. A portion of FisherGirl sales made outside of Canada benefit each respective country where FisherGirl products are sold. With each and every sale of FisherGirl products anywhere in the world, FisherGirl is helping to end the ongoing battle against one of the most common cancers among women.
Cast for a CureTM
charity fishing tournament
FisherGirl is hosting the first annual Cast for a CureTM charity fishing tournament in Toronto on Saturday, May 26, 2007. All proceeds from the family event will benefit the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundationtion. There is a minimal registration fee ($10), and FisherGirl requires participants each raise a minimum of $50 in pledges to qualify for the tournament.
In the spirit of "catching the passion", the Cast for a CureTM charity fishing tournament is aimed at children who have never before experienced the joys of fishing. It will be FisherGirl'ss39;s pleasure to provide children who do not have their own fishing gear with complimentary equipment to use during the tournament!
The day of the Cast for a CureTM charity fishing tournament, the pond will be stocked full of fish just waiting to be caught! However, FisherGirl is a nature-friendly company, and respectfully asks that tournament participants practice the catch-and-release method of fishing. It is sure to be a fun, educational and memorable spring day full of fishing, family and friends... with all proceeds benefiting a worthy cause. As well, there will be prizes awarded by FisherGirl throughout the day!
The exact location of the Cast for a CureTM fishing tournament has yet to be determined. Please be assured that fishergirl.com will be updated in coming weeks as the tournament date approaches.
